My professional journey has been an incredible exploration of human behavior and how we navigate technology without losing ourselves in the noise.

I am the Director of UX for KBRA, a global full-service rating agency whose mission is to set a standard of excellence and integrity that was formed coming out of the 2008 global financial crisis, where I’m heading their product design group. Prior, I was the VP of Product Design for AlphaSense, crafting a world-class market intelligence search engine platform experience that leveraged AI used by the world’s leading companies and financial institutions. I was the Director of Product + Experience Design for ADT, crafting practical human-centered software and hardware experiences for smart home technology in the IoT sphere — partnered with Google to design an agnostic ecosystem that will help transform the future of connected devices for all humans, wherever they may be. I was the Director of UX / UI for WizeHive — defining and evolving the experience of their low-code, online relational database platform Zengine — and the Head of Design for the social selling SaaS pioneers PeopleLinx (among other ventures over the years).

Driven by constant curiosity, I put things together, tear them apart, and refine / re-architect them to be smarter, more accessible, intuitive, usable, and have a purpose. Ultimately, my goal is to help make people’s lives better through innovation.

I’m passionate about humanizing design — holistically building intelligent products from the ground up or improving existing ones. I focus on the psychology of the user experience, human cognition, and the streamlining of human-computer interactions supported through extensive testing and user research — creating a bridge between technology, people, and human capabilities.

I have comprehensive experience building, scaling, leading, mentoring, and developing global multidisciplinary design teams. My servant leadership approach focuses on creating a level playing field where all team members have a voice that helps create better alignment and collaborative problem-solving across projects while empowering and encouraging curiosity, empathy, and compassion. Backed by emotional intelligence, I emphasize trust, balance, curiosity, inspiration, motivation, support, respect, honesty, flexibility, and community as my foundational directing principles.

I express my fascination with good design by collaborating with like minds to solve complex problems for good. A strategist by nature, I’m equal parts future-thinker, humanist, technologist, data advocate, and student of systems design logic. I love a good challenge.

Besides design, I am an avid outdoorsman who loves science + nature, technology + IoT, tube amplification, the undeniable genius of Lego, sustainability, history, doodling, photography, architecture, growing / cooking / eating good food, old-school RPGs, running (road / trail / xc), skateboarding, surf, sun, snow, and my beautiful family.
